Advocacy & Policy
CBHA leads the state behavioral health community in advocacy before the legislature and state agencies to increase funding for community behavioral health services, as well as ensure that state and county programs support integrated services for children with severe emotional disturbances, adults with serious mental illness, and individuals facing substance abuse disorders.
The continued contributions and engagement of our membership have been pivotal in shaping our advocacy efforts and ensuring that the voices of those they serve are heard at every level of decision-making.
Effective Advocacy in Action
At CBHA, we are driven by a deep commitment to collaboration and creating meaningful solutions that address the needs of behavioral health membership.
This video highlights how we:
- Prioritize collaboration
- Leverage expertise and relationships
- Respond to our member needs
Together, we are shaping a better future for behavioral health in California.
Integrated Care: Addressing the Needs of the Unhoused
CBHA would like to extend our gratitude to The California Chronic Care Coalition for the collaboration on their recent video production that raises awareness about the needs of our unhoused populations and discusses how those needs are often driven by chronic conditions. We also extend our appreciation to our member, Felton Institute for demonstrating the significance of whole-person care.
